Why my pictures would not center in my blog. The pictures I was placing in my blog would not center if they were placed side by side even if I set the paragraph style to centered or set the picture alignment to center. When Windows Live Writer applies a paragraph style to center it sets the in-line HTML <p> properties to <p align="center">.  Note that Live Writer uses the old (deprecated)  align term rather than the now standard style="text-align: center" format. Thanks so much for posting this solution, Guy Thomas.  I’ve often faced the problem where my Expression Web local site was in conflict with my remote site. Using this simple solution method you posted (with one slight addition) seemed to solve my issue. When I bring up my site in Expression Web and look at the publishing tab I get results that look like the snapshot to the left.  Notice that the [Modified] column on the local web site is blank.  Huh??  No date for when the file was last modified?  Obviously this causes a problem because EW thinks that…

We all have favorite websites that we often visit, and the modern browser versions from Internet Explorer (IE), Chrome, Firefox, etc all help with this.  One of the ways they help is by maintaining a list of recently visited web sites that match whatever you may be typing in the address bar.  Notice in the example to the right that when I started to type “travelingmydeeperdream.com” the browser address bar automatically filled in suggestions from previous visits to the site.  I only had to type “tra” and the suggestions were already found for me.
